Review Paradise Cove Pets

My take on PC Pets...
I like it! Although the top row of tanks can be difficult to see, you got to put them somewhere I guess. More tanks are better than less. I also liked the pictures with the price tags on the livestock. The ENTIRE staff seems to be very friendly and although Jeff seems kind of quiet, he is all about helping once asked. Dave is da man! The whole store moved up a notch in my book when I walked in and saw him behind the counter.
I have bought quite a bit of live stock and the % of survival is a little below others from my experience, but who is to say I didn't screw something up in the process... I wasn't keeping a scientific total.
All and all, if they weren't so far away, I'd be in there more often that is for sure. I like the lounge idea as well.

Too much to list here! No it doesn't go out of here as soon as it comes in. Everything usually lasts through the weekend.

it really depends on the amount of algae, the type of algae and fish in the tank(snail eaters?). talk to someone here when you come in for the right ones. joe

Hi, Hey I am so happy--thanks to your instructions I drilled and plumbed my refugium. Just checked it and it DOESN'T LEAK!!!!! Karen

I just found the Omaha Marine Society thread and read all the posts about Paradise Cove. Personally I love the place. The prices and service they offer are well worth the drive. I'm about as far away from the store as possible still being in the same city.

I have been pretty happy with all the local fish stores here in the Omaha area but Paradise Cove is a fun destination.

Ten gallon tank - $10
maxijet 1200 for return - $19
cpr overflow - $78
Misc pvc pieces - less than $10

That's about all you need. You can even find a cheaper overflow than that CPR one, I was just going with what's available on Marine Depot. (in fact I would go with a u-tube type rather than the CPR one)

There is plenty of information on reefcentral as far as how to set one up, but those are the basics of what you need. Too bad you missed the seminar at aquapets, it had all the information you could want at it.
