Has anyone had success with ReVive Coral Cleaner for red bugs? I've read a post on here from the man himself Julian Sprung, the developer of ReVive, that dipping the coral for 10-15 minutes and the red bugs will fall off and die.
Yes. most invertebrates ,if not all, will fall off and die. use a turkey baster or something to blow off the coral while dipping, red bugs if present will fly off and die.
I have used revive since I started refing and ended up with red bugs so I would say it doen't work. You can use intercepter in tank or dip with bayer insecicide.
I don't have any dogs so it's hard for me to get my hands on some intercepter. i wanna try revive first but i'm kind of hesitant because dipping for 10-15 minutes would mostly bleach the coral right?
I had problems getting intercepter at first but explained it to every vet in my area and found 2 that would help me get it and have a standing persciption at one of them. if you want to have a dip get the bayeradvanced home pest plus germ killer in the spray bottle, it is0.5ml per 4 cups tank water for 10 mins. I put a small powerhead of a air pump with air stone in with it. Seems odd for a dip but have yet to loose anything using it. Intercepter killed my acro crabs.
Just use interceptor, it's safe for your reef tank. Just not safe for the inverts. Use it 3 times and viola all red bugs will be extinct like dinosaurs. :bounce3:
