Ok while it's not the biggest tank by any means, it does mean I can post it here in the big boys forum.

I am fixing to pay the deposit to have it built and I wanted some last minute advice from you large tank gurus!

The tank specs are as follows:

60" Long
32" Wide
24" High

Starfire front and sides
Euro Braced
24" External Overflow
(2) 1 1/2" drains with (2) 1" returns

So how am I looking so far on my measurements?

Thanks.

Sweet! I love the wider tanks! You have a tank thread?

Does my return and drain line sizes look correct for this size as well as my external over flow size?

The only issue I see is that you lighting will be at it's limits without using 3 MHs so if you have the room I'd just make it 6 ft.

My tank is in the process: 72x30x24 225g

I plan on doing (3) Lum 250w MH SE Radiums on the tank. I am already running 2 on the current one. You don't think I will have room?

You'll have plenty of room :) I am using 3 lumen bright minis on my 120 so you will have room for sure.

I just figured since you'll be paying for the lighting already that you could exentend your tank a bit.

Well I originally wanted a 300g but after weighing the cost and things I would potentially have to deal with I decided to go smaller.

Come on Rev- go 36" front to back-you won't regret it- I love the 48" to play with but I am not sure of your limits-congrats!!

Joe, Not all of us can have a 700, besides if you go too deep, its harder to get good shots for us photo junkies :p

HAHA! Well now that I am thinking about all this I may go 6ft, but bigger wouldn't make it through the door right?

Thank you very much! I hope to have a nice open tank this go around and maybe thin out some coral to have some nice full select sps colonies. :D
