Still don't understand why these aren't as popular as other damsels
As the title says ,this was my first fish over 30 years ago. yet I rarely see them offered.

Have a pair now in my reef and have never been a problem.

Very nice. Im going to keep an eye out for those. I have a few damsels that you dont see everyday (starki and phoenix) already... the starki is one of my favorites.

how old is that fish?

No Cliff. this is not my very first fish. I would guess he's around 4 years old. My very first fish passed away many many many years ago . i was saying that I purchased a fish (just like the one pictured ) over 30 years ago ,but rarely do i see them offered at stores or on line.. just don't understand why.... beautiful well behaved fish ...

So, none of the regular aggression issues of other damsel species? If not do you think your tank size keeps the aggression in check?

i've kept them in pairs since i've first started. not sure male , female pair but always just bought two. had them in a 55,135 and now a 265. they seem more interested in themselves then other fish.never really mean towards each other .and they don't get really big ether. only about 2.5- 3" and don't loose their color as they grow. Just a cool little fish :)
