I picked one up for $3 at the LFS. I imagine the care is the same as for Penicillus, Udotea, etc., just wondering how other people have fared with this macro?

Nice find. I've actually been looking around for these and can't find them anywhere. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but keep us posted.
 
Well, it's turning white and fading out. I'll just let it be and see if it sends up another shoot down the road.
 
I have been growing it for a while now and it does better for me than Penicillus. All of mine started to bleach shortly after being planted. Some sent up new plants and died off completely, yet others greened back up and sent out new growth on the original plant.

Very nice! I have not seen that in person yet, but looks like a good candidate for a planted tank. Hopefully it will be more forgiving to work with than Penicillus, which consistently falls apart on me.
