Mine are over a year by now & much larger than when I got them. Totally shaded under a large shelving monticap.
I feed them a piece of shrimp soaked in Selcon & Vita-Chem & on other days, frozen bloodworms & mysis soaked in the same or Rod's Food.

It is out in the open on the bottom of my 29g biocube. It is off to the side of my retrofitted hood with super high output Cree xr-e LED lights. I feed the whole tank everyday and I spot feed the rhizo at least every other day but it still catches food everyday when I feed the rest of the tank. I also feed it any dead fish or shrimp I get :(. I also once fed it a slice of hot dog :).

Mine's going on 2+ years, in the back of my nano tank, there is a metal halide over the middle of the tank, gets fed mostly small items, reef chili every other day, mysis for a meatier food, have fed it larger items like silversides and krill but seems to do fine on smaller meals.

I think you're wasting food, feeding it something as small as Reef Chili.

You would think but my balano, dendro and the rhizo all seem to enjoy it, close up and then open huge like they do with larger foods. I figure they probably eat tiny things in the ocean so it makes for a snack anyways.

Hey, the way I see it is that if the rhizo eats it, then LET IT FEAST! Who cares how small it is? I sometimes feed mine some frozen cylopeeze and he LOVES it.
