We have about 8 Rhizos sitting at work, and we were lucky enough to catch some spawning this afternoon. I think these are eggs, though I still kind of hope they are an odd planulae phase.
I've never heard of this happening in captivity for Rhizotrochus, so figure its worth documenting. Sorry the pictures suck- I was in kind of a hurry. The first two are tank shots, the last one is one of them under my scope at 400x magnification.
Fingers crossed that *something* comes of this. If not, its all good; it was still cool to see it.
This one started to rupture just as I took the picture- boo. Best shot I could get though (cell phone cam held up to the scope eye piece... lol)
