Rianfordi Butterfly

Does anyone want a large Rainfordi Butterfly, we have one being sent in tomorrow as a mistake. We ordered a Rainfordi Goby but when we saw the shipping invoice it is listed as the butterfly.
They are quite expensive but we would like to just cover our cost and more importantly find it a suitable home.
Since time is of major importance here, I will continue to actively seek a place for it. It is supposed to be in town by tomorrow afternoon, and would need to be in a tank (Prefer a QT) ASAP.
We were charged $60 not counting shipping.
Thank you,
Chris

Correct, just to cover our cost, and to find it a home, I am off to the airport now to pick it and all the other stuff up.

Oops!...my bad.

I was reading hastily and thought you WERE getting the rainford goby.

(No experience with the butterfly.) I have one butterfly (pyramid) in the reef and he's been great, but I wouldn't trust any butterfly until verifying it would heartily take mysis and other frozen food and then testing it with some frags in QT.

Any fish with a specific dietary need for coral polyps would, I'm afraid, be a problem.

Hi Artful-Dodger,
What I have read states that they are peaceful but are coral eaters, do you have different experience with them?
Chris

The rainfordi is a coral eater, but has been known to adapt to prepared foods (better than the other strict corallivores)

What size is he? And where did you get him from? I may be interested.

Just opened the box, looks great, between 4-5", does not appear thin.

Must be picked up today at our home in Englewood.

Chris

Thank everyone, I found him a home in a fish only, where the guy grows a whole bunch of zoas and corals he was willing to feed to the fish, had a QT ready, and was willing to trade out a cpl of corals for it.

Thanks Again,

Chris
