ribbon eel

Hi!
I need your help! Thursday I bought a ribbon eel it ate at the store and at home it refuses to eat. I tried shrimp meat, mysis, whole frozen shrimp. Now my hermit crab and my cleaner shrimp eat his tail. What can I do? Thank you!

Hello, and welcome to ReefCentral

#1 Remove the shrimps and crabs

#2 Add enough PVC pipe so that the eel can be completely concealed, and feel secure

#3 Search for other threads on ribbon eels here to see how other people how been successful with this very difficult fish to keep/get eating. You'll likely need to start with small live fish.

....and its way too early to panic. You got the fish 3 days ago, many fish will simply not eat for much longer than this.
