Ric Splitting Help?

2006

Hi all, I bought a yellow ric last week that was in the process of splitting. Since the new addition has been in my tank it has been rather deflated. Today I finished the split with scissors and gave them an iodine dip.

When rics are splitting is it normal for them to be deflated?

All other rics in my tank are doing great.

Thanks

yes that is normal and it is best to leave them alone once they have started the process themselves.
Holy crap somebody replied. Thanks! Started re-inflating a few days ago. Looks like were on the rebound.

The stress of moving into your tank probably triggered the split. It's a natural occurance.

Thanks for checking in. Sorry no camera so no pic. My brother is a photographer so I have to get him over to the house. One ric is fully healed and inflated. The other is under rubble so I can only see part of it. I don't know if it is attached to anything yet so I will leave it alone for a little longer.
