Rickztah's Low Iron 22g Peninsula RBTA / Euphyllia / Clownfish (build)

I was programming the RA for each port today and felt the need to test every receptacle and I am glad I did. Only 3 out of the 8 receptacles work :(. I should have checked it when I first bought it from a member here used. Oh well, you live and you learn. Luckily the second relay seems to work but it sucks that I'm down 5 ports.

Any chance you can DIY the wiring? Or contact the company for help?

Check the continuity on the cable. I/e the monitor looking cable. Check it from pin to pin, I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the cable. I know you said you used the other relay works fine and not sure if it was via the bus or that monitor cable thing. and no a standard monitor cable will not work although it fits, just to save you the trouble. (the cable that roberto used when he designed it was a fully pinned cable. monitor cables are missing like 3 of the wires or something to save money).

It is worth a try. I did a side by side comparison and all the pins are there, but if wires are missing, then that would explain everything. I will have to bite the bullet and give it a try. Thank you for the troubleshoot.

This is so dope
Thank you. I have spent a lot of time on this and a nod at my work makes all that hard work worth it :)

I wish I had one. I've been super busy lately with work and haven't even had a chance to post my current 75g tank for sale in order to fund this project.

In a way, I am kind of glad I haven't set it up yet because this summer has been brutal so far with the heat. Hearing about all of these outages too is making me a little paranoid. I will set up a chiller for this tank, so hopefully the summer heat will not impact it as much as I first imagined, but I am scared about a power outage. I do have the generator now just in case.

I believe I will have this project completed by late August. I hate worrying about being out and about or on vacation and having to worry about a power outage and no one there to set up the generator.

Thanks! And I feel ya Rik, stands often aren't, but *could* be one of the most intricate parts of a system. thegrun has an absolutely stellar stand he built himself, not only great looking, but compartmentalized to have an Energy Bar section, power toggle section for electrical, and all kinds of other cool stuff.

Honestly, If I could have I'd have made a slightly larger stand so I could have fit a larger sump. Simple needs lol.

Sumps are like gunsafes, no matter how big you get it’s never big enough but you find a way to make do.
