Ricordea florida question

I have a question about a piece of Ricordea florida that I have...it is doing really well in my 75 mixed on the sandbed under a TEK 6 lamp fixture. I noticed about 5 days ago this protrusion from underneath it and am wondering if this is a new polyp or if something else was going on?...you can see it on the left side of the ricordea

looks like bubble algae, or possibly some sort of sponge or tunicate. If it feels like a hard plastic ball it's bubble algae. Carefully pull it off and remove it from the tank.
