So I've been toying with setting up a propagation tank for ricordeas. Everyone seems to want ricordeas and I'd like to further the hobby with tank raised corals, plus I happen to have a huge pink yuma that people like to drool over (myself included).

I figured that since I have limited resources to dedicate to this project, I'd post pictures of the yumas and floridias that I have and get everyone's opinions on which colors people like best.

So if anyone has a 250w metal halide setup that they want to sell at a very reasonable price, we can work something out.

Pete, I love rics. Once I set up my nano, I plan on it being solely a ric tank. I'm new to all of this, but from my readings it does seem that propagating rics is REALLY easy so you might take that into consideration. My meaning: if anyone can do it, it might be difficult to sell for a price that makes it worth your while.

IMO, the best rics/yumas are the multicolored ones. If you could get some of those for prorogation that would be very cool.

Yeah, I'm not looking to make money here. Just be able to support the cost of the pop tank so that everyone in Sac that wants unique colors can have them at reasonable costs.

i don't think you'd have any problems finding a market for yumas... especially nice ones like pink. good luck with the endeavor :)

Hahaha it was really easy and cheap too!!
:)
Glad I could help...
So what you're saying is that by setting up MY prop tank I just made some Rics cheaper for myself down the road when YOU sell some? hahaha

;)

Yup, pretty much. Let me know if anyone has a line on a metal halide...

So, after a ton of surfing Craigslist for lighting, I came home with a bit more than planned... Here comes the propagation system, take 1.
