Ricordea? Rhodactis? Anyone seen these?

I picked these up from a swap last year, they were sold just as an 'unknown' mushroom, Looking at the ID pages and such, All I come up with is either a form of Ricordea, or possibly Rhodactis.

Does anyone else have anything like this? Or even maybe know exactly what it is?

They have darkened up a tad, to almost more grayish then the brown. But under the actinics they floresc more green. Otherwise, instead of the normal round growth form they tend to grow elongated instead of round/oval.

They are very interesting, they tend to grow more stiff, and close to the rock, and doesn't really matter on the flow either..... they stay the same size, low flow, high flow, no flow...... Same thing with the lights, Some are under compacts, others are under 250w halides,, doesn't matter, all look the same!!

I was leaning toward the Rhodactis, comparing to all the other pictures I found of them..... I did a search for the Tonga ones now, and starting to find more on them....

Rhodactis, I believe. I have read that they typically have longer tentacles along the outside of the 'shroom.

Yes that's a rhodactis for sure. My favorite mushrooms besides the f ricordeas. I have many colors from orange, light brown to blue and purple. Liveaquaria divers den has many of them for sale

Thanks! The wife picked it up for $5 at a swap we went to, she thought it looked like it had claws, and alligator skin!

They don't reproduce nearly as fast as other shrooms, Maybe doubled in size over 9 months? Haven't seen a whole lot of splitting yet.....

It does appear that they enjoy the Metal Halides of my SPS reef much better then the Compacts of my shroom tank!!! ;)

I'll have to try and get some pics of them in my reef, they changed to a more unique color...
