I just noticed that two of my polyps fall into the latest ricordia hole disase
It seems like the area beside the mouth is eaten and causing it to have a hole in the middle and then hole become larger to take out the mouth leaving only the rim of the ricordia florida.
Anybody have any ideas of what this is? I have removed both of those polyps to another tank to avoid it infecting every ricordia there.
The color itself does nto have any bleaching and retain the bright colors.
They have not been stick using any super glue or anything so it is probably not chemical burn.
--------------
The timing of the infection:
Day 0: everything is alright and they have been in the same spot for 1/2 year. Opening up nicely and eating
Day 1: starts to curl up like when there are no light
Day 2-3: hole start to form beside mouth, expanding it like it's a dounut
Day 3-4: hole continue to expand and whole thing disappear
The disease is very infectious and affects all other polyps beside them. In a week's time, it wipe out 80% of my ricordia florida. It really does not seem like something is eating them but a specific disease with the pattern it is spreading.
Anybody have any help?
