If anyone wants some rics (colors will be a variety and we can get together to pic them out kickball style, we go around and everyone pics one at a time) I can get 50 ric polyps for 450.00 w/ free shipping, that's 9 a polyp shipped. I'll do 11 if anyone else wants in on this, please let me know... Gotta reach 50.

Cool! Thanks Murph! Actually, I'm looking at pics of my tank and not sure I can fit 11 more rics in there... I think I'll go down to 8 so were at 25 with Murphs... He has a package of 25 for 230.00+35.00 shipping which comes out to 10.60 per polyp... If you guys are cool with that we can order it now. Or do you want to see if we can get another 25?
 
how long does shipping take? If we are looking at Sat delivery, I say we wait till the last minute and see if we get 50, if not, then 25 it is. FYI, I have to work Sat at 2pm but, I will take anything not solid blue or orange.
 
Guess we'll wait a bit then... Saturday shouldn't an issue Murph I'd arrange for pick up at the hub so we'd have it by 10 Saturday morning. :)

BTW, no Blue or Orange huh? Are you that mad at the Broncos? LOL!
 
Looks like there is interest to see what the LFS's can get in and then we can chop up the rock for even bigger savings... Stay tuned if this is a go or a bust.
 
I apologize in advance, but it's better to ask the questions all at once:

What's the new total? It looks like there are already add-ons.

With this size order, will he take special requests if the rest of the group agrees, such as no all-blue or greens, or by limiting duplicates (if possible), or maybe include all of the multi-colors he has, or whatever? If he can do that, I may be able to get a total of 10 (early-Christmas present) to get us closer to 50.

I zoomed-in on the pic. It looks like they're all on separate rock frags. Did he say they were separate?

Will you be able to give them some time to acclimate, open, and be displayed under actinics before people choose?

I though there was interest in seeing if the LFS can get some in first? As for that pic, I'm sure is a file photo, not necessarily the frags we would get. Just search Ricordia on Ebay and look at the auctions that don't have a picture by the description, you'll see the 25 ric offer, do all the research you want. :) He also just bough zomania.com. As for picking colors I know you don't want any all blue or all green, but I'm not gonna be too pickey at 9 bucks a polyp shipped. I think it's best to stick with plan A. As for picking frags once they are acclimated, opened up, and under light. Sure just tell me who's willing to do this for everyone. I don't have the room for 50 rics...
 
I think we might end up waiting on this, just heard on another forum all carriers will no longer be promising overnight service effective Thursday due to the holidays... LFS is probably our best bet right now. Sorry guys. :(
 
o.k. scott wants to hook us up. he is placing an order tomorrow morning. He can get ricordea for $30ish at a medium size rock. We should get 10 polyps to frag. I cant guarantee color, but i can tell you they will color up nicely, thats the way ricordea seem to be. I can have him get 3-4 rocks and we can divide them up as needed. If they are nice we could order more. He also has a great price on super colored acros, pink prostrata and pink digitatas, montis, e.t.c. we can get a medium for $50-$60 thats good for 10 frags were talking $5-$8 per frag for super color. thats way cheaper than online and he says if it comes in brown or something we are not obligated. Let me know what you guys want to do, I'll call him tomorrow if it sounds like you want to do it.
he says delivery will be thurs, fri at the latest.
give me some feedback so I know what you want.
