how long does it take for these things to split or creat new polyps i have had one for over a month and it has doubled in size but thats it it has dont no splitting how long does it take?

I've had two for over a year. They got food on a regular basis and pleanty of light, but have not split once.

Also, is it a yuma or a florida?
