ricordia with dwarfs?

I always assumed ricordia were fairly "safe". Then just a couple days ago, I watched one entangle, trap, and eat a nudibranch I put in the tank for eating hydroids. I would assume with a sting like that, it wouldn't be safe for dwarf seahorses.

IMO (coming from experience with rics and reidi fry, not with dwarfs) they won't eat an adult dwarf but they'll take out the fry easy.

As I cannot speak from expierience I can speak from research, check this out.

He seems to have had a cool thing going here too bad it hasn't been updated for two years.

Good for you for looking stuff up. You have to research a little bit more there though. One, there are not ricordia or dwarf seahorses in Melev's tank . Those polyp type corals are zoanthids. Two the seahorse that was in there dies shortly after the last update. A reidi has no business in a 2g tank, no business at that temp, and IMO really no business with a cleaner shrimp. Melev learned the hard way. There is a thread in this forum where he came seeking help when things went south.

hey, thanks, I read a few places that they were safe with different sea horses but nothing about the dwarfs so I asked and I think that the link was for the guy/gal who asked after I did about the zoas...

thanks for all the info ladies and gentalmen, and pledosophy, I like the quote in your profile lol

My bad. That was kinda stupid huh. Oops!

Zoas would be fine with dwarfs, I'd stay away from paly's and the "yellow sun polyps".

Hey, your Welcome.

My rics eat my erectus babies like popcorn :>(; so I'd guess it is probable they would eat dwarf SH . . .
