Right way to frag Riccordeas?

I have a blue riccordea that has 2 mouths. I bought it as a frag about 2 months ago, hoping it would split so I can give half to a friend who gave me some frags. Its been 2 months now and it has yet to split, or really get much bigger then a quarter.

I came across http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f267/ricf101-ricordea-fragging-113453.html this link that showed how to frag with 1 mouth.

Can I Just take a scalpel, and slice right down the middle, leaving a mouth on each side, and expect it to heal and be 2? Never actually fragged any of my own stuff before, and I dont want to kill/destroy it in the process

if its on a small piece of rock, put a rubber band around it, and it will split on its own.

i hvnt read much about people having problems cutting em especailly with two mouths tho

Cutting down the middle leaving a mouth on each side should do good, but make sure it is a clean and smooth cut, done it to a couple of my rics.
