What dimensions Ty1e?

MY 120GAL
will be 48"x24"x24" i would like an external overflow, but if it's not visually appealing then i will not do it.

You can't even tell I have an external overflow on my tank unless you look behind it.

I demand pics when it arrives!!!

Did he limit how high you could go since it was braceless?

no i just thought 14 inches was really shallow :)

the tank will be mostly a look down, lights mounted 18 inches or higher and maybe some spotlights.

only from the couch and from a distance will you look at it thru the panels

I went with the external overflow to keep more space in the tank. If I went with an internal overflow, the volume of the tank would be significantly less. Plus I think the external overflow will do a better job at removing waste.

The dual drains should make it pretty silent and avoid problems if one drain clogs. The overflow cover AGE made should help retard alge growth.

Thanks for posting the link to my build thread.

Are you going to get larger magnets for the nano's? I bought the suregrip 100's for that purpose. They will hold the nano's and mj mods on 1" material.

Hey bread man, did you make that tank out of acrylic

I didn't make it, but yes it's acrylic. James at Envision built it to my specs.

The eurobracing doesn't bother me at all. I have one huge opening. Does it look as nice as a braceless tank? No. :)

Here's a pic so you get an idea.

I might also need some of you Austin, TX folks around to help me with my next rimless tank. It has starfire on all four side, and built by A.G.E . Get ready for it...10 gallon nano (16 x 14 x 10). I was told its done, and soon to be in Austin.
Austin here, reporting to offer help if needed. Looks like you have a great start, I love the gorgonian!

New to the RC, been trolling threads, man I am inspired, I want a rimless NOW, amazing tanks everyone, Nuuze, I grew up in Fairfield CA great place, beautifull tank.

Thanks everyone on this thread for sharing your aquariums, great inspiration for me now, I'm going to send in a quote on about 3 to 4 different sized "rimless" tanks, and get the prices and soon join you all as a proud rimless owner!

Keep the pics coming as you join the rimless tank club.
