If you own a Rimless (no brace) aquarium no matter who is the builder or size, please post a pic and some info.

Do you have contact information from the AGE. I would like to purchase a rimless tank and a Greismann lighting like you.

You can go here...

http://www.acrylicandglassexhibits.com/

But they don't work with the public, you have to work with one of your local fish stores to get the quote etc...

Or look for KingFishJohn on this site, and contact him, he can help with your requests and quotes, he would be your fish store representative, even if he's not local to you, he can still get you going.

So Nick I have loved watching you with your build! I am SO FREAKING JEALOUS!!!!!! We are starting our basement finishing project, and I am ready to reserve a wall for a rimmless. Are they really easier than traditional tanks?

thanks my Girlfriend and I are really happy with it.
Easier to mess with yes, i can move stuff around and drop in a pinch of food just in passing, also it makes it easy to move the siphon hose around when i am doing water changes, one thing to remember though is that some people have really bad luck with fish jumping from their rimless tanks, i have not had this happen yet, Fingers crossed.

i love the rimless tank.

Have I mentioned that I am SO FREAKING JEALOUS?!?!?!?!?!?!? I could get rid of one of my kids, or even give one up in trade for a rimmless. Any takers? :)

I am very interested in the rimless tanks. Can some of you point me in the right direction for some manufactures websites and places to find out about prices. If you’re not comfortable posting prices please pm me.

Thanks

Alot of you rimless fellas are going BB. I just ordered mine today :) (65gal:48x18x16) and was wondering if I outta join the crew. I always liked having a sandbed as it looks natural and what not but damn it does gets dirty. Can you fella's guide me to the BB light of happiness? Why do you prefer it over regular sandbeds?

just one way to skin a cat.

there is enough DSB vs BB vs SSB arguments here on RC we dont have to drag it in here. ;)

search for the "how to go BB" thread

Nice tank Chris. Did you build it yourself?

Nope, I had a local build it for me though. 1/2" glass.

Are you using T-5??? post some pics of your light fixture

Yup, 8 x 24w T5s. I was originally using the following

2 x 24W 12000K Aquablue Special
3 x 24W Blue Plus
2 x 24W Super Actinic
1 x 24W Pro Color

When I switch out the bulbs at the end of the year, I'll probably drop one of the super actinics in favor of another blue +. I like how the tank looks with the following 6 bulbs: 2 x ab special, 2 x super actinic and 2 x blue +. I do think that the pro color helps, so I'll probably leave that one in or go with the KZ Fiji purple or something.

My fixture is just 8 icecap reflectors in a small enclosure. A friend's dad built it along with the stand. He did a great job.

There are more pictures on my build thread. Red house.
