The back is just a black background I bought an applied with a small amount of water and wiped out the bubbles with a credit card !

Yes I made the stands for the lights as well as the cabinet but you can't see it.

I'll get a better shot someday

Well i did some research on it for a while and decided it would be the best for me. I asked everyone i could possibly ask. Everyone agreed with me that it would pop the colors of the coral more. I'm going to be doing mainly sps.

I hope it does work as planned. Will see i guess.

I built them both & then painted them.

& because I have 2 outputs.

what did you use to paint them? Black Krylon?

Yes, i used krylon and make sure you let it cure for 7 days. That way its chip resistant.

I'm not sure I feel comfortable doing that. Are they in use now? No peeling or flaking.

My father did the same thing to his, and he only let them sit for 3 days. His are working and the fish are alive & thriving. No chips or peeling on his.

I cured mine for 7 days to be safe. As of right now I am still filling my tank. I hope for the best.

I'm in!! Here is mine... Finally!!

4' x 3' x 2' with 1" thick acrylic sheets

It's about 150 Gallons and it's a see-through tank between the porch and dining room.
