CamBarr -
do you know of amazing aquariums and reefs off the 55 Nohl Ranch Rd. exit? The owner there Ali has a ton of custom lee mar tanks and they have lamp trees. He said they're 100 bucks. I don't know if you can get one unless you ordered a custom tank from them. I can't imagine them turning you down if you wanted to buy one though.

Summer how do yo plan on lighting a 4 side viewable tank? cant wait to see what you get.
I've got 4 large Lumenbright reflectors that will sit inside a floating canopy cantilivered from a side wall. The support beams will cut into the drywall and bolt onto the beams (there's an open stairway we're tying into) . We plan on hiding the wires and ballasts in these beams to keep it clean looking. The key here is to keep the canopy from becoming the focal point - I really just want a minimal look with the rimless tank. The canopy will match the cabinet, again as clean looking as possible.
BTW after much thought, searching, and reading I decided to go with MH and the LB seem to fit the bill I was looking for. I really like the more "natural" look that MH's give.
I originally thought I'd get a sleek pendant, but just didn't think the costs justified the light I wanted (usually only fair MH's with better t'5's), and also wasn't keen on hanging the light from the second floor ceiling since it's going in a two story great room.

Just finished today. Stand and canopy color is "bitter chocolate"
The heater and reactor etc are now in the sump. This was right after the transfer of livestock. Don't mind the rocks in the background

The hood is hung by 3 l brackets from walmart. I believe they're 6x8 brackets in white. Just 3 bolts. The light system is only a 4 t5ho's retrofit w/ moonlights. The top piece of wood is 1/2" ply and the paneling is 1/4". Dry wall anchors and screws would've worked fine but I decided to do 2 studs and one drywall

SunnyX - that is really awesome i love your aquascaping. for some reason i don't remember this as a TOTM, i'm gonna go back right now and look it up and check out the photos! i love all that open water it's beautiful

Going to be joining the rimless and shallow tank group soon. Just ordered a 48"LX18"WX12"H Starphire glass tank the other day. Im replacing a 48"LX18"WX15"H Acrylic tank that I have set up now. I really like the looks of the rimless and shallow tanks.

There are alot of sweet tanks in this thread. Those Elos tanks are just sick. Such clean lines. Alot of inspiring aquascapes here as well.
