Man ya got some nice *** tanks here. I just ordered an aga 72 bowfront and stand and now I'm consitering a rimless tank. Do u guys build these thank or buy them? If u buy them then where at? And how much do they usually run for?

Some people (with the know-how, and means) do build some nice rimless tanks.
There's a number of tank-makers who are sponsors on RC, or search the forums, nano tanks, to the large tank forum.
My tank was made by Miracles in Glass (Canadian) and i was very pleased with the transaction from start to finish.
Very difficult to give a price as it depends on size, holes, bracing, glass, delivery etc., but you should have no problem getting some quotes. The more info you give the more accurate the quote.
Not sure if they make rimless bow front tanks, but I'm sure acrylic would work.
Hope this gives you a start....good luck.:)

That's a bummer.:(
It will be worth the wait to get what you want. What are the dimensions, and overflow(s) of the expected tank?

i am definitely waiting. The retailer tried to make me take it. But this hobby is all about waiting. So i'm all for it.
The size is 60 X 28 X 22. It was going to have an internal overflow in one corner. I have now decided to go external so all the space inside will be maximized. They will now do this for me with no extra charge. All things work together for good...:)

My only problem now is my Achilles will not be happy. Might have to sell him after having him for only a month.

Mine - COMING SOON.....!!

Currently being build... :D

Ok Ed, what program are you using to generate those drawings?
Very nice drawings and even a cooler tank! Heading over to read your build thread and see your story.

This rendering is done by WZhang. He have a thread called in the DYI Forum: Free Sketchup Renderings *inquire within*

Interesting thread for ideas... :D

So you don't know what software he uses?
I'll head over there and ask...

Can you post a link to that thread, I can't seem to find it?

I would like to enjoy your classy club .. We should all get with each other and have tea sometime and crumpets.. krumpets..

24wx32lx20h Aquarium Obs , Its built like a tank. Some problems have came up but was neither really me nor Johns fault just some emails getting fixed up. I planned on a corner overflow but i guess the rear is a better design I just hope it fits in the place correctly. It's 2 sided starphire left and front . as the right side was/is suppose to be against a window . figured it would not be viewed from this area and with the corner overflow blocking some plus the tinting it would help not heat up the tank as much. Luckily I am crazy about running the AC low in my house.

Now if I could only figure out my sump and plumbing ill be good to go :D ( cleaning ladies thought my sump i made from an ada tank with a scratch on it would be good to hold cleaning supplies? )

Oh and how ill hang my lights as I have no ceiling above it for about 26 feet. Not sure if I want a waterbridge or a bar coming from the stand.
