i'm hoping to join soon...with a larger rimless aquarium.
i'm shooting for 72x36x20 with a 10 bulb 60" ati fixture, atb 10.5 deluxe internal skimmer, and tunze pumps. will either be from age or miracles probably.

And a spawning in which i lost all sps...that was not fun.

Thats just a ReefPotix 3 pendant with a Helios 250 DE bulb. Used to Have an Ati Powermodul and the growth was amazing, but i missed the shimmer.
"Nice Color Bro...I like! Those fans work to cool down the halide?"
They work really really well to keep the tank at normal temp. They dont cool the halides since its not aimed at it,..its aimed at the water surface. But i live in Los Angeles and never had a problem with high temp with that just that cheap/nice fan on it. works great.

So what are the nice places to get these from? I'm looking for something solana-esque, I don't know if I want a solana now though because I'm looking at 24x24 footprint tanks. GC has some but I can't customize them.
Also with those I'll have to add a sump and that'll add to the $$$ being spent... oh well

Well I meant on their website you looks at the 24x24x18... it have (jb) next to it and it doesn't have the customization option

Tank is 30x30x18. I had it custom built. Tank and all.

Well I'm seriously considering going rimless. I have a RFQ's out locally and with Miracles, and so far Miracles has come back with a very competitive quote.
I was thinking I might go pick it up myself to save a few bucks, but after talking with Derek it doesnt really make sense to go get it.
Tank size will be 48" x 24" x 22"
After reading through the last 16 pages, I really liking the Glass holes 700g overflow centered, and 2 - 3/4" returns w/ one on each side of the overflow.
Anybody have any do's and don'ts they can post up before I go and make a dumb mistake somewhere in my planning.
Thats really why I want to tear down my current tank. Not very thought out from the beginning. Well I thought it was LOL, but after a few years MANY flaws have shown up.
