My Rimless Nano:

Beautiful...with a capital "B"
Well done Jon :)

I have had one fish jump but even if more jump I am not putting anything over the tank as it would make the tank look horrible and defeat the point of a rimless tank.

I am picking up a 120G(48Lx30Wx20H) Cadlights rimless tomorrow for my upgrade from a 72G bowfront, and this is the one thing I can't figure out! I really don't want any "fish-cide", but I don't want to kill the rimless look either with a mesh cover...:headwalls:

I have a Barletts Anthias, Lyretail Anthias and an Yasha Goby I don't want to jump...

Wow, this thread was awesome...I have a 30 gallon rimless cube sitting in my basement (given to me by a friend), really considering setting it up. however, I am trying to go bigger and Im not sure the price is justifiable at this point.. I'll go for starphire and a diy overfow first.. thanks for the great ideas

Are they heavyer

Are they heavyer

Thats my question, i want a 75 G rimless tank and i'm told they are thicker, so are they much heavyer?

Yes! My 105 is made with 1/2" glass an weighs a LOT.

Ok here's other stupid question lol , i have two 75 G coming over on top of each other, plus a 40 G sump in the base on a custom made steel stand , the floor ......you think i should reinforce it ? It cement slabs but you never know right.

I am not a structural engineer by any stretch but I would think the concrete floor would be fine. My 105 with 30 gallone sump is on a wood stand directly on the concrete floor.

Well boys ill be joining the club in the next month or so looks like. I ordered a 48x24x18 rimless tank with external overflow, PVC bottom, and 1/2" glass from Planet Aquarium. I'm pretty pumped. I remember back in 2007 when I set up my 220g....about a week later saw these rimless tanks and kinda regretted the other lol.

Got two Reefbreeders lights on the way, 40g sump, H&S 150-2001 skimmer, etc. Can't wait to set it up...

Cheers
