Saaaweeet!!!! How distorted are round acrylic ,if any? How'd you keep you bottom so clean? Starboard?

I know Felix at Reef Savvy requires that you place the 3/4 white foam that you can buy at Lowes (It has a shiny silver backing). If you do not he will not warranty the tank. I paid $10.00 for a 4'x8' sheet.

Is your bottom glass ?

Yes, the bottom is glass. The foam eliminates any pressure points from the stands surface.

My tank bottom is not glass

The bottom material does not make a difference. Any high spot, and all surfaces have them, will transfer that pressure to the sides and cause unequal stress on the glass portion. In addition if your stand settles, any the foam will compensate. The foam is a VERY cheap insurance policy.

Bottom material does make a difference since it is a float bottom. Watch the brs video. Felix himself says you can place an aquarium with a "ghost bottom" right on a modern stand.
