r-balljunkie Registered Reefer Oct 1, 2013 #3 dont forget that the water will flow higher than your teeth height depending on how much you flow thru your tank. 1 1/2" to 2" is fine. i had it around 3" on one tank, didnt look right.

mfinn Active member Oct 1, 2013 #4 The top of the overflow box on my rimless 50 is 3/4". The bottom of the teeth sits at 1-1/2". The water level in the tank is 1" below the rim.
