sorry that this is posted in this forum, but I know many of you have rimless tanks...I am setting up a 48"x30"x15" shallow rimless tank (around 93 gal) and was curious, how far below the edge of the tank most people keep their overflows so water isnt constantly overflowing over the side of the tank b/c of water turbulance.

Looking for the distance from the tank lip to the point where the water just overflows

Thanks,
Bill

My water line is about an inch from the rim, The teeth in the overflow about 1 1/2" from the rim. Hope that helps

My water line is 3/4" from the top of the glass. The overflow teeth end at 1.5" below the top of the glass.

thanks for the reply. Is that from the top of the teeth, or in-between?

I think he must mean the bottom of the teeth is 1.5" from the top of the tank (with the teeth going all the way or almost all the way to the top).

mine is about 1/4 from the rim is mine setup wrong? should it be lower if so how would i acheive this?
