rimless tank question

I am going to get a cadlights aquarium, and not there stand. So with that said, do you need to put anything between the tank and the stand? I have a piece of plywood on top of my tank. Thanks.

Is this a glass tank!
If so then, tank-plywood-foam board-stand.

Some folks use soft foam like shelf liner or yoga pads under the tank, others use foam insulation from DIY stores.
