Rio Seio ~ Seaswirl Competition?

I'm surprised and happy to say that I got the shaft in the mail on Monday!
WOW!! Q-Ball got the shaft...... and liked it!

I just couldn't let you get away with that one.

Did you happen to ask or see anything about the controllers?

I did, but didn't get much info on them. He did say that the price shouldn't be that bad (relatively speaking I suppose) and that it would work with the current SEIO's...I hope I remembered that right. This conversation was the morning after a bit of a party the night before, so I apologize if I've mis-remembered the conversation :)

i saw the controller today seems to working real good and was told that it should be on the market by the first of the year. it will work with all the seios ---- and is programable to a point

Great news!!! Is it capable if multiple wave patterns like the Tunze? Any idea how much it will cost?

Wow, thats pretty sweet. I wonder how it gonna work w/out buring out the motors.
Anyone know? And when should we expect to see them?

Jim

what it does is change the speed of the pumps but does not shut them off that is how it saves the magnets the one i saw had 2 places to plug pumps in

price is not a for sure yet but around 100 to 125

Nice.. I was thinking of going with the Seio's in my tank, and this controller is yet another reason...

I don't have an extra 20g's laying around to go with a full tunze setup.... hehe

It may work by regulating the voltage. As far as I know the SEIOs are A/C powered, so it may just drop the voltage to slow the motor down, but not stop it...

Is it worth waiting any longer? I've been holding off not buying Tunze for almost a year now because I wanted to try the Seio controller. First it was going to be released in the Fall, then the end of the year, now it's 2006 and still nothing. It's killing me not know if they are ever going to do what they said they would.

If your considering a Tunze you might want to take a look at the Vortech in the IceCap forum. You've waited this long.

Hey Scott.... Tat showed me that new pump that will come with that controler it is awesome I dont see a need for a closed loop with that kind of power
