Just playing with the camera...
This is my tile starfish. It's a really nice addition to the tank.

Awesome!

Thanks BioCubeGuy,
I'm trying to learn how to take out the blue of the pic so it will look more natural. They explained to me, but I though they were talking to me in Chinese! Lol
I need to buy some cover lenses and work with the withe balance... Lets see, maybe in a few weeks it will start looking different. If not I will take some photo classes!

I rescued this coral. Was almost dead when my friend gave it to me. I though it will not going to make it. It prove me wrong! It is a very strong coral and grows fast!

Is it a setting within your camera or lens? Or do you use some type of photo shop etc.. to remove the blue? I've always been fascinated with photography and "getting the right shot" or picture... I assume there is so much to learn about angles, colors, focus etc.. etc...

By what I understand, you can adjust the white balance so that way you can get rid of the blue color. I don't know how to use photoshop, but I want to play first with my camera than the pics .
It's a forum of photography. I have been looking around and this people know how to work with pics! And the good thing is that they will help us to improve.
Lot to learn but in the long way will be worth it.

Here's a weird question out of the blue. Your American DJ Rack Mount. Do the buttons light when powered?

Yes. The light will be off if you turn it off.
Will look like this:

Thanks. Funny how you find stuff. I've been looking for powers strips with individual switches with no luck at all. I stumble on your thread and boom. Rack mounts. Awesome.

I found it at guitar center. Don't know if there is one in your area, but places like that sell them!!!

I know it's been a bit, but I finally got one. It is so cool. I've been turning on an off individual pumps all day yesterday.

I'm glad I caught your thread here. I would have never thought of this on my own.

Oh yeah! And it has a USB, so my tank can now charge my phone too!

its called white balance.

yo should try and set the white balance to daylight or strobe.

if they allow custom white balancing then you can put a piece of white paper ovr your camera. set the lens to manual focus.

put your camera on full auto.

aim the lens at the lights.

snap a pic

then reset the lens to auto focus and put the camera on whatever setting you want.

then in the menu go to custom white balance and select that pic (it will probably be a light blue to purple.

then shoot away =)

its basically called color subtraction with white balance =P

I'm back with some updates of my corals...
My tank is doing good and the parameters are on point...
Let me give you some examples:

The war coral:
