So I'm at work 4 hours from home and my wife calls to say our Sailfin Tang all of a sudden just started laying on it's side on the sandbed. Has never done this before and has always for the past 2 years been very healthy and active in the tank. A few minutes later he succumbed to death. She's now trying to get him out of the rocks that the current dragged him in to.....
Sucks....he was my favorite fish in the tank! She tested ammonia (I didn't want to walk her through all the other tests) and it came back zero, as expected. I was anxious to move him into my new 300g in a couple of weeks too.
All other fish are active as normal. Nothing abnormal with any of them and haven't had a fish die for almost a year plus. It makes me curious why all of a sudden it happened, and why to him?
Just venting I guess....life goes on.
