Ritteri anemone flow?

I'm curious as to what kind of flow people use...

Do you have massive constant flow or on a wave/surge? When the flow stops, do the tentacles go crazy and vibrate like gigs do? Low flow seems to make tentacles turn into "thin wiggly strings". High flow seems to quickly restore tentacle thickness, and flops like a mop in the current. It seems happiest with constant strong flow, is that correct?

I guess my question should be,
Do they like alternating strong CONSTANT flow, or do they do well (like gigs in surge) with a little "rest" with still water inbetween?

personally i think the rest period is important until they really get settled and healthy - then u can let it rip.

Strong flow, alternating preferably, not a need for a rest with still water (as you put it). If keeping one happy and stationary is also a concern, equally important to flow is a flat-ish, smooth rock where it can perch and collect good light. The tentacles of H. mag do not vibrate the way the S. gigantea do.
