I was just at my LFS today and saw a beautiful purple ritteri anemone. It had just came in this week, and was looking pretty good even under the PC's they had it and was being happily hosted by a saddleback clown. I have always been a fan of ritteri's, but I don't know whether or not I should consider one for my current tank, so anyone with actual ritteri experience please give me some advice. Here are my considerations; My tank is a shallow 65, lit by HO/T5 lighting that is 16" above the sandbed, with several locations higher on the rockwork. I currently have 4x54watt T5, and I currently am sustaining a LTA on the sandbed. IF I got the ritteri, the LTA would be re-homed. I know ritteri anemones are a difficult species, and my concerns are A: do I have sufficient lighting to maintain a ritteri? and B: I am planning to upgrade to a 125 eventually but I don't know when this will happen. Would a ritteri be ok in the 65 for a year or two, or will it totally overwhelm my tank. It is a pretty 'nem, but if it won't work then I am best off not buying it. My LFS is willing to hold it for another week so I can observe it to make sure it is healthy, but I don't want to tell them to do so if I am just going to have to back out. What do you think, ritteri enthusiasts?
