Saw that you guys are carrying the RLSS stuff now that is discontinued elswhere, Do you know when you will have the RLSS-R8-I skimmer in stock?

I'm not sure what you mean discontinued elsewhere?

We only have 6-I's in stock right now, but 8's are on the way back in to us. What size system are you putting this on?

I was only referencing aquarium specialty posts about the 3000, 5000, 10000 being discontinued. It is going n a 105 display, but total volume is close to 140 and i would feel a lot better going with an 8i. I just picked up a dc5000 from you guys last week as well.

Ok, I'm with you. The 3000, 5000, and 10000 have only been discontinued under the Waveline name, the pump will still be available under the SpeedWave and Diablo name.

In my opinion I would stick with a 6" or 7" body skimmer, I think the 8" body skimmers you're looking at will be just a tad on the large side. You'll get better, more consistent performance out of the 6" or 7" body.

Take a look at the 6-i, Omega 150, SRO 2000 Internal, Alpha 170, and new BK Double Cone 180 with the RD3 Speedy pump on them. I think you'll be happier with the performance here than what you will going up to something that has the 8" body on it.

Hey Jeremy

Slight hijack...

You know I've been looking at new skimmers :) Do you happen to know the neck size on the RLSS 6i and 8i? I can't seem to find that online anywhere. I love the complete take-apart-ness of the RLSS. It looks like a great skimmer for the value...

Also is there any update on availability in the USA of the Bubble King Double Cone 180 or the new BK Mini with the DC Pump? I'm also curious on the neck size of the Double Cone 180 as well (as you can see, our conversations have me comparing neck sizes to air draw and making spreadsheets :) )

Thanks.

The neck diameters on the RLSS are as follows:

6-i: 3 5/8"
8-i: 4 7/16"

I don't have the neck diameter specs on the BK DC's yet, sorry.

Went ahead and ordered the 6i, but it came in and the body was cracked in multiple places Wednesday. It looks like the ups guy dropped it a couple of times as there are some serious smooshed in corners on the box. Great customer service at Premium! As soon as i sent them pictures they sent out another 6i that will be here today!

The pump that runs them has been discontinued I just found out not the skimmer its self. Are yours shipping with the upgraded pumps? I guess a few places are now shipping with the dc4000

I just ordered the 6i yesterday from you guys.. Thanks for getting it out so fast. . Just a little worried about parts in the future with the dc300.. I also want to order one for a return pump too.

The present DC3000/5000/10000 have been discontinued, the new pumps will be rolling out later this spring. All of our skimmers will be outfitted with the Waveline DC4000/6000/12000 shortly after the new pumps launch. Let me know if you've got any questions about our line of skimmers !

All are continuing to ship with the DC3000 until further notice on the R6. We will be carrying all parts for the 3000, 5000, and 10000 pumps as well, these will not be going away, so they will be supported.
