Ro - brs - 6 stage - setup problems

I don't know if I've hooked this up right. I hooked up the "in" house water to the double chlormine filter - then -the "blue out" of the double filter into the 4 stage RO filter.

Is this right?

Problem 1 - 2 valves - The RO system filled up but I don't know if the 2 valves are in the correct position

Problem 2 - Water pressure - I'm reading 25lbs - way too low and I'm hoping the valves are causing it.

I did let it run and got 35ppm water after a few minutes running.

the valve in picture 1: what is this for? Is this a water diverter for a faucet kit? I don't believe this is normally included? If it's a faucet kit, then it should install before the DI and will allow you to direct water to the faucet before it hits the DI. I believe those are 3 way valves, not sure there's a "wrong" way to install it in terms of the outputs anyway. As long as it's plugged into the right input, turning the valve should direct water to 1 of the 2 outputs.

the valve in picture 2: that looks like a waste valve in parallel with the flow restrictor...As opposed to an all-in-one valve/flow restrictor, which is what comes on their current models. I don't think it matters which direction that one is installed. Basically, it just serves to bypass the flow restrictor that is Y'ed off right beside it. So, it's either open or closed. Direction shouldn't matter.

did you buy the upgrade kit or something? usually these RODI come pre-assembled, which is why I ask. Mine did anyway, though, i only have the 4 stage with watersaver option, since I don't have chloramines in my water.

Regarding pressure - where did you install the pressure gauge? I think normally it's installed just before the RO membranes.

The picture of Valve #2 looks like a manual flush to me or at least that's what mine looks like on my RO/DI. I'm not sure how they have it setup on that RO/DI but if it is a manual flush kit for the RO Membrane, Mine is turned up towards the top or in closed position. I would suspect the other valve if you are getting 35ppm on the out and very low pressure. I'll take a guess that valve #1 is some kind of bypass type valve.

Yes, not having the valves properly will cause very low PSI. I noticed that the first time I ran mine and was freaking out.

I tried looking at the PDF manual online but unsure which model you have.

Can you post a link to which model you have and a whole picture of the unit. Picture #3 looks like a DI canister and house water should not be there.
