RO/DI and incoming water

I know that it is at a certain degree, the RO/DI will operate better. Meaning there are more water that can be process. since it is now winter, is there a way to increase the temperature of the incoming water without the risk of killing the membrance? like running hot water from the water heater ... Also, beside the garden faucet, is there another way to get a water source inside the gargage? dont want to make the lady mad by doing stuff in the house. And my laundy room is too small to leave the tubs in there.

The difference in water production is small. It would not be cost effective to rig up a heating system as compated to the cost of a replacement higher flow membrane and a new flow restrictor.

For most modern suberbia-style houses the washer hookup is in or near the garage. Close the valve, remove the waher hose, install a garden hose Y with valves, reinstall the washer hose on one side and the RO hose line adapter on the other side, run the John Guset tubing to the RO unit, run the drain line back to the washer drain. Done.

Don't know where you're located but when I was in Minnesota the output of the RO/DI would drop by almost half in the winter due to the cold water.

A friend resolved the problem by installing a toilet mixing valve before the ro/di.
