RO/DI and Water Question

I am new to reef aquarium idea and am trying to set up a 75 gal tank. I have most of the equipment I need and am to the point now where I am considering buying substrate, live rock, and filling my tank. I have been looking at RO/DI systems to get my water as opposed to buying water to put in the tank for the long run cost savings. What other options are there for the initial fill of the tank?

Also I have been looking at the universal systems vs the value systems on bulk reef supply. I am assuming the universal system would be better but is it necessary?

Okay So I do not think i said anything about getting a tang? I want to know what you use to get the water for your tank. You cannot just use tap water and add salt. You need clean water to add salt then to your tank. Tap water has too many dissolved solids and chemicals.

My questions I guess is what is the best option to get clean water to fill my tank.

Purchase a RO/DI system? Or buy water from your lfs.

That's what I thought. I just didn't know if there was another / any way to get a large amount of clean water fast. I'll end up buying a purifier. Thank you.
