I have hooked an auto shutoff valve into my RO/DI unit and it won't seem to ever turn off the unit.
The unit is an Air, Water, and Ice 75gpd RO/DI unit. It has the 550 flow restrictor on the waste line. When I turn off the valve on the product line the waste line continues to output water.
The auto shutoff valve is attached as follows:
IN-()-OUT
Tap Water-()-Prefilters {TOP}
Purified Water-[Check Valve]-()-Float Valve {BOTTOM}
()=Auto Shutoff Valve
I think the flow restrictor is allowing too much pressure to escape from the waste port of the membrane, resulting in too little pressure on the pure water side of the membrane to trigger the valve. Any ideas? Anyone had this issue before?
