RO/DI booster pump went out

If it's not one thing it's another it seems like lately. The good thing is I have 45 gallons of RO/DI in storage containers before it went out. I took the old one apart and noticed a bit of grit in the pump. I'm guessing this is what made it go. I bought a new booster pump from BRS and also order a pre filter before it hits the booster pump. I talked to the guys at filterguys.com and they were a bit pricier than BRS so I had to go where I save. I asked them to match but they told me BRS gives stuff away.....I'm sure it is from the same distributor. He was a nice guy but for now I have to watch my dollars.
I found out the booster pump I had was foreign and not made in the US. The new one that is coming is Aquatec 8800. Has a one year warranty. Anyone have this booster pump?

Shane you got issues .... lol j/k

I don't use a booster pump, I go outside to the house water regulator and I turn the screw clockwise until I hear "swhoooosh" ... my water pressure just got boosted by another 10 psi :D

I've been having a lot of issues lately......with everything. It has to turn around sometime......the other day I left some stuff on the bus when I got off. Luckily I got it back but I’ve had some tough days lately. At least I get to come home to a big tank everyday.

Shane go to the outside of your house and look for this, turning the screw clockwise until you hear a swoosh ... this will increase the water pressure for your whole house. The factory setting is usually only 45psi keep turning the screw will eventually give you 75 psi

Yeah, and if your breaker keeps tripping, just put in a bigger breaker.:eek1:
May want to do a little looking around before cranking up that pressure. That old place you are in may not like the increase.

Some people are sooooooooo paranoid ... sheeeh :D :D when I first moved into my new house in my new deveopment the water pressure was over 100 psi, the garden hoses were poping but the house plumbing was fine. The developer installed these to turn the psi down to 45 ... I've cranked it up to 75 psi for 10 years now and no problem so "relax" ... lol

hummm, I’ll look around and do some research but I don't think they installed anything like that back in 1958 when the house was built. I'm guessing your house was built in the 90's or 00's? But it has all upgraded copper plumbing so maybe....I'll look. If I find it and crank it up and it blows a water pipe I'll give you a call to clean up the mess... ahha j/k. Thanks for the tip.

Tom is very lucky Windsor has great water pressure. Shane I also suffer from not the greatest water pressure and use a booster pump also. Older homes on older systems just don't have the pressure that newer developements in Windsor and Cotati.

Water Pressure Envy:sad2:
