RO/DI container

Hi RC, what do most of you store your RODI water in? I was given a really nice container but it has mildew in it that I don't think I can get out. Looking for ideas. Thanks.

I use plastic kitty litter containers, which are food-safe. I'm not making that much saltwater at a time though.

5 gallon jugs I bought online that are only used for water storage.

I second the bleach it out, with the caveat that I would rinse them really well and let them sit with water and prime for a couple days to neutralize the bleach.

I clean my filter socks in the same manner. Let them soak in bleach overnight, then in RO/DI and prime overnight.

Thank you to all for the replies! I am trying bleach...the problem is that it was originally for storing soda syrup or something, and it is a solid food grade plastic barrel with only two small openings in the top that I can't even fit my hand through so I can't scrub it out. I'm trying a several day soak.

Meanwhile, we had a large Rubbermaid container (though not a Brute specifically) that I didn't even know about in our shed. I'm giving that a good cleaning.

Thank you for the info about the filer socks, I will need to know that soon :)
