RO/DI Filter Housing Stuck

I am trying to change my RO/DI filters and I am unable to remove the filter housings to change the filters. They appear to be stuck. I may have tightened them too much when I last changed them. I have a special wrench that is made for removing the housing but it still won't budge. Anyone have any ideas as to how to loosen it? This is really frustrating me

Never mind. After running through every expletive in my vocabulary, I through the thing into a vice and took a hammer to the wrench and after battling with it that way for a while I was able to get the housings loose.

I just read something in the instructions that mentioned that the wrench is only supposed to be used to loosen the housings not for tightening them....too late for me but might help someone else.
