I should have asked first, but was in store and knew i needed 1. Figured to get best 1 on shelf. I cant send it back,it has 3 hours on it now and made cup and a half of water. I'll try the valve tomorrow. Thanks. Mike

The fact that it has three hours on it and has only produced a cup and a half of water sounds like as good a reason as any to send it back.

make sure the lines are run correctly...the directions are not very clear...
i hooked my first kent 60gpd RO up incorrectly and didn't realize it till i got a tds meter...

Make sure the receiving vessel is lower than the RO/DI unit: it doesn't send water uphill fast at all: I was three days figuring that out.

The hoses were attached already. I was running the water up hill. I had 5 gallons tonight. I called Mfgr. He said that it will take 10 days for complete membraine hydration. Thanks. Mike
