RO/DI Question

Hi all:

I have a Spectrapure MaxCap RO/DI system. I also have an Apex and a Tunze Osmolator ATO. Finally, I have a 10 gallon EShoppes Reservoir. I just ordered an Apex Breakout Box and two water level sensors. With that in mind, here's my question.

The goal is to have the RO/DI unit automatically refill my ATO reservoir when it's close to empty.

My question is how to cut off the water supply to the RO/DI once the ATO is full. The RO/DI unit is about 15 feet away from the Apex and on the other side of a wall. The only thing I can think of is to install a solenoid valve before the RO/DI unit, run an extension cord through the wall (through the same hold as the RO/DI feed and plug it into one of the EB8's. The system would then open the valve when the low level sensor indicates and close the valve one the ATO is full.

Does anyone have any better ideas. This one feels way too complicated.

Thanks.

That's about the jist of it honestly. Not many other ways you can do it. You may need another float though. One for the ATO to trigger on and off and two for the top off container. One to trigger it to turn on when it is too low and one up top to turn it off when it gets full.

A solenoid, 2 floats and a solenoid are all you need..
One float opens the solenoid, another closes it..

I don't have an apex but you just need to program it to do so.. (I assume thats possible there)

I was afraid you guys would say that. I hate running extension cords through a wall. That said, it's only about 3 inches so it shouldn't be too bad. I'm sure my wife will be fine with me drilling another hole in the laundry room wall. :)

I gather I'd want a solenoid that is normally closed since it should only run for maybe four hours per week.

Oh, and anyone know where I can get a reef safe solenoid? The neptune version only works with the FMM which is (a) out of stock, and (b) annoyingly out of stock.
