RO/DI questions

I was thinking about getting a BRS 4stage water saver 150 gph. I have a couple of questions;

1. How long would it take to fill a 5gallon jug

2. What is the best way to set this up? I was going set it up to where I can use it just when I am getting water?

Thanks for any advice that you have for me.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

The 4 stage is the model I have. At first, I just kept mine in the closet and took it out when i needed it. I put the adaptor onto the garden hose and placed it on the porch. This method became a HUGE PITA. So I hooked it to my cold water connection of my washer and driller two holes on the wall for it to hang. now, I simply flip a switch and I have nice, fresh RODI water flowing to my buckets. It takes about 1hour and 15-30 minutes to fill 1 5 gallon bucket for me. I flow it at about 55 to 60 PSI. I would place it where it is not in the way, but easily accessible if possible. the laundry room was the best place for me.

Oh dude! That is a great idea for hook up. My washer has rubber hoses. Dose the RO unit have an adapted for that?

I have the same unit. When I hook it up to my faucet it takes maybe 45-55 mins to fill 5 gal. bucket. I haven't ever timed it though. I'm getting about 70 PSI from the faucet.

I'm definitely happy with the unit. Just small enough that hiding it away isn't a big deal when i pull it out once a week to make water. I should definitely look into mounting it in the laundry though - thats an excellent idea.

As far as connections go - it came with connections for the garden hose and one for the faucet.

i took mine and hung it in the garage next to my laundry room, drilled two 1/4 in holes into the wall ran the drain to the laundy clean out and the water in to the cold water side, i purcahsed an adapter to split two garden hoses and hooked one up to the washer and the other to the rodi. just have to flip a switch now. i fill about 55gs in 10-12 hrs at 60psi

Yes, it does come with an adapter switch. I just went to lowes and picked out the right size fittings to place on the cold water supply. Then placed the drain water into the drain for the washer. All I do is flip a switch now.
