RO/DI Questions

I recently received a new BRS 4-Stage RO/DI system. Has anyone added their old system to a new system? I've been thinking of adding my old membrane housing and DI canister to the new system. Is there much benefit?

Both systems have 75gpd membranes, would I need a 150gpd flow restrictor?

Thanks

no you just run your waste line off of your first membrane to the second and restrict the waste from it with the regular 75gpd restrictor. but the brs set up for this calls for i think 60 psi at the first membrane.

I have frankensteined mine to the point where it's 10 stages.

2 sediment, 3 carbon blocks, 2 membranes, 3 di resin. I do have it on a booster to make sure I'm pushing plenty of PSI through it. I also have the feed line going through my frag tank sump (100 foot coul of 1/4" tubing) to make sure it's at 75F before it hits the 1st sediment filter.

If I remember right, BRS has a video about adding another membrane. Search BRS 150 gpd upgrade.

Thank everyone. I got the DI canister and membrane connected to my system this evening. Ordered a 3 filter RO bracket to get everything looking nice.

Nice!

I went with the 3rd DI because I had an extra canister and insert and I wanted to always have 2 full chambers of DI. I have chloramines in my water so I went overboard on everything to make sure I don't get ammonia into my tank. Cheap insurance...
