RO DI unit

. I have well water and just ordered an RO unit.
should I have gotten a RO DI unit instead?
what do I need to test for to find out?

Yes you should have gotten a RO/DI unit but the RO unit alone will help a bunch. You will need to get a TDS meter to test the water.

If I recall correctly a RO DI unit will get the water more pure than just RO alone.

There are probably others that can give you more specifics in this regard.

I think the RO will work but you will have some dissolved solids in the water which of course you don't want.

All is not lost. You can still add the DI unit to your RO unit. Most of the sellers of RO units should be able to sell you an add on DI unit.

As mentioned, a TDS (Total Disolved Solids) meter will determine how well your RO unit is removing. The TDS meter should ideally read zero at your pure water outlet. Most RO units will bring down TDS readings into single digits or the teens. The DI portion of the filter would perform final cleanup and bring the TDS reading ideally down to zero.

I gess I'll just buy the add on, and get a TDS meter payday (before I add the water).
