RO/DI Units

I use a cheap $100 eBay 5 stage RO/DI unit. I don't have a TDS meter to know how well it actually works. But it does save me from making trips to lfs for water. I want to upgrade to a better one with inline tds meter.
A 5 stage 75 or 90 gpd unit should work just fine. For convenience look for one with refillable DI cartridges.

I honestly have no idea what RO/DI unit I have. Got it from the old Rockin N Reef, then replaced all the filters and DI resin with whatever Creative sells. I know the RO membrane is a 100gph DOW. It's just a 4 stage w/ sediment, carbon block, di resin and ro ro membrane. I also know it makes 0 tds. Might look into adding a couple stages soon though.

The unit it self is not that important brand wise. Type of filters and how many is key. Pressure indicator and in line TDS meter is nice.

Activated carbon
Membrane
Then 2 DI filters
If u have room to set the waist water line to something use fill like fill the poop or something that's a nice bonus

Okay, cool. I had a RO/DI unit in VA but I sold it before I moved. I was wondering if the water down here was treated with anything in particular that I would need to remove (chloramines, etc)? I guess I should have asked that question first
The catalytic carbon I run is a chloramines remover

Definitely look into dual membrane, booster pump, chloramine carbon block, dual DI, flush kit, pressure gauge, and a twix candy bar lol
