anyone happen to know where to get RO/DI water in the east side san jose area? the evergreen area...

ive been using RO water from the supermarkets and its been good enough but i just wanted to know if theres somewhere to get RO/DI water.

i have a closed top nano so theres not much evaporation and because of that i dont use that much top off water so investing in an RO/DI unit is something i wouldnt want to do.

ive been to some places that sell drinking water round here and asked if they sold RO/DI water... all of them didnt even know what RO/DI water was.

so yeah any one know where to get any in this area??

my parents owned a drinking water store in sanjose whiched they just sold recently. but as far as i know, all the drinking water stores use RO filters only. For drinking water there is no need for the DI filtering because it would make the water taste like crap. However, I do use the RO water from our store as top off water and I've had no problems with it. The TDS of RO water from those drinking water stores is usually about 0.02ppm to 0.04ppm which is well below what you can get from filtered water at the supermarket which is usually at 0.30ppm - 0.40ppm TDS. But both types of RO are still acceptable to use for aquariums.

so other than getting your own RO/DI unit for home, I don't think it'll be that easy to get RO/DI water.
